Dies ist eines der Dokumente, die unser Spielleiter Torsten nach Ende der Kampagne frei gegeben hat. Originaldokument als OpenOffice Datei. The Child MageHit Die: d4 REQUIREMENTSTo qualify to become a Child Mage (Chm), a character must fulfill all the following criteria. Alignment: Any nonlawful, nonevil Race: Child of the Light Spellcasting: Ability to cast 3rd-level arcane spells. Skills: Spellcraft 8 ranks Feats: Circle Caster, Spell Focus (to be chosen major school -> see below), Spell Penetration Special: Half spells known on each level must be from major school. May not know spells from more than three schools of magic. CLASS SKILLSThe Child Mage's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Alchemy (Int), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Hide (Dex), Knowledge (all skills taken individually) (Int), Profession (Wis), Scry (Int), Spellcraft (Int), Wilderness Lore (Wis). See Chapter 4: Skills in the Player's Handbook skill descriptions. Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier CLASS FEATURESAll the following are class features of the Child Mage prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Child Mages gain no proficiency in any weapon or armor.
Spells per Day: A Child Mage's training focuses on arcane spells.
Thus, when a new Child Mage level is gained, the character gains new spells
per day as if he had also gained a levelin whatever arcane spellcasting class
he belonged to before he added the prestige class. He does not, however gain
any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (bonus
metamagic or item creation feats, bard or assassin abilities, and so on).
This essentially means that he adds the level of Child Mage to the level of
whatever other arcane spellcasting class the character has, then determines
spells per day an caster level accordingly. Specialization: Upon becoming a Child Mage, the character becomes devoted to just a few schools of magic. He must chose one major and two minor schools to know. Half of all his known spells of each level must be from his major school, as well as half his spells cast per day. The rest of his known spells and spells per day, may also be from one of the minor schools or the General school. Specialist Defense: Add this value to the Child Mage's saving throws against a spells from his major school. Spell Power: For spells involving the Child Mage's specialist school, add this value to the DC for saving throes and to caster level checks to overcome spell resistance. The value starts at +1 at 1st level and goes up to +2 at 4th level, +3 at 6th level, +4 at 8th level, and +5 at 10th level. This ability stacks with other spell power effects that affect spells from the Child Mage's major school. Circle Leader: The Child Mage gains the ability to become a circle leader, who is the focus person for Child Mage circle magic. (Works as red wizard circle mage, see FRCS Chapter 2: Magic). Great Circle Leader: The Child Mage can be the center of a great circle, which can have up to nine assistants instead of just five. See FRCS Chapter 2: Magic for information on Circle Magic.
NEW FEATCircle CasterRegion: Solos Nahan Special: Only characters with the Circle Caster Feat can participate in Child Mage's circles. |
